The Kelowna Homelessness Research Collaborative (KHRC) is a UBC Research Excellence Cluster. Members span UBC, Okanagan College, and Interior Health. KHRC receives financial and collaborative support from a variety of funders and multiple community partners across the Okanagan.
Objectives :
1. Understand the full scope of care available in Vernon for people struggling with homelessness and addiction, and indicate the gaps, barriers and requirements in accessing this care.
Expected Outcomes:
We anticipate that the results of this project will:
1. provide a deeper understanding of the full scope of care available in Vernon and the surrounding area for people struggling with homelessness and addiction, including:
a. community resources and services, requirements of client entry, and willing partnerships
2. give insights into how to best support people who are experiencing homelessness moving forward in Vernon and the surrounding area.
